ROAD TO DOOMSDAY!

Ever since December started, I wanted to completely re-watch the Marvel Cinematic Universe in time for NEXT December’s blockbuster event, Avengers: Doomsday . While I might be too busy to do everything I wanted to do for..THE ROAD TO DOOMSDAY, I’ll settle for a few. One of my favorite movies in the MCU is of course, Captain America: The Winter Soldier . In this Russo Brothers masterpiece, Steve Rogers tries to ease his way into the 21st Century from WWII at the same time SHIELD is in chaos and he meets the Winter Soldier. More chaos ensues. One of the more interesting parts of this movie is located in the notebook that Steve carries around; it has a list of historical items that people have told him he has to know in order to get all caught up. The funny thing is, this list changes in the movie theater depending where in the world you’re located. It’s a whole DVD feature.   Captain America: The Winter Soldier is one of the best Marvel movies ever made. It was the first movie the Russo Brothers did in the MCU, and now they’re moving on to Doomsday . This is the movie I had in mind when I first came up with the notion of doing this blog. I wanted to write up a list based on Steve’s notebook; an explanation of all the pop culture things he missed while doing time as a “Capsicle.” International versions of the movie had different lists based on whatever country they were in. Crazily enough, I also wanted to listen to the Troubleman soundtrack, based on Falcon’s recommendation. More on that later in the week. Anyways, this movie is really a political \ spycraft movie like they had in the 70’s.
